A company is only as good as its people. Lucky for us, we have an outstanding group of individuals who are professional, courteous, competent, hard-working, interesting, and unique! Here are the members of Leaf & Limb, in no particular order:
|

|
Stuart
Stuart is a veteran tree man, and master of his trade. After finishing school, he decided he wanted to pursue a career in the arboriculture industry. He proved himself as an extremely hard worker with excellent decision-making abilities. Since starting, he has become proficient in many facets of the industry, including crew supervisor. He is now an ISA Certified Arborist and our newest client representative. Stuart has a quick wit, he is an accomplished soccer player, dominates the Frisbee golf turf, and loves good BBQ.

Andrea
It is highly unlikely that you could ever find somebody who is a better office manager than Andrea. Her mind is a steel trap of information – she knows all and forgets nothing. She is super organized, very efficient, and great with clients. Rest assured, you will enjoy interacting with Andrea when you work with Leaf & Limb – everybody always does. As a native Minnesotan, she is a self-described hockey addict. She also loves pizza, 80’s rock, and Stephen King.

Juan
There is little doubt that Juan is one of the best tree climbers in the industry. Juan will tackle any project head on, and do so in an efficient and safe manner. Watch Juan in action when he is working on your property, and you will be amazed - we regularly hear “oohs” and “ahhs” from clients when he is in action. He has countless years of experience and is a long-time Leaf & Limb veteran. Little known fact about Juan: he is also an accomplished mechanic and expert tinkerer.

Thomas
Before coming to Leaf & Limb, Thomas spent four years with the U.S. Marine Corp where he oversaw 30 soldiers as an E5 Seargent. Not only that, but he graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in history. He is currently in charge of stump grinding operations - nobody can make a stump grinder dance like Thomas! As for the future, Thomas is interested in tree care, managing a crew, and more. Thomas enjoys hiking, camping, and craft beers – especially Rogue’s HazelNut Brown Nectar!

|
Bobby
Perhaps the most contemplative member of Leaf & Limb, Bobby has an excellent work mentality and an entrepreneurial streak. Before joining our company, he owned his own landscaping business. After joining Leaf & Limb, he worked his way through the ranks to become a crew supervisor. Meanwhile, his real passion is climbing. He has spent many hours studying and practicing in order to become a skilled climber. Outside of work, he is an expert chef. He used to be sous-chef for a major restaurant group here in town, and he makes the meanest fish taco this side of the Rockies.
|

|
Kyle
Jocular, bewhiskered, ebullient – these are just a few of the adjectives we use to describe Kyle. Before joining Leaf & Limb, Kyle graduated with a degree in psychology from UNC-Wilmington. Upon joining, Kyle quickly became crew supervisor due to his attention to detail, excellent workmanship, and charming customer service. Clients everywhere rave about Kyle – we even had one that wanted to adopt him! Kyle is 6 feet, 5 inches of beast on the basketball court, and he loves traveling. He actually spent a year living in Chile where he explored South America, hiked the Patagonia, and he became fluent in Spanish.

|
Joe
Joe is an ISA Certified Arborist and one of our client representatives. He is also the most educated member of Leaf & Limb, having earned a bachelor’s degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and a masters degree from UGA. Joe originally joined Leaf & Limb because of his interest in tree care. After mastering tree care, he then moved into sales in an effort to continue his development within the industry. When he is not poring over the most recent arboriculture research papers, you will find Joe among the die-hard sports fans rooting for all things that bleed Carolina Blue.

Cedric
Cedric is gifted with incredible athleticism and smarts to match – pretty much the perfect recipe for becoming a great climber. But becoming a great climber also requires hard work and dedication, something Cedric proved he possesses when he spent months on end with his head buried in climbing books or with his practice lines set in the nearest tree. He is now a crew supervisor who specializes in impressing clients. Cedric is a self-taught musician who creates his own tracks. He is also a self-taught basketball extraordinaire, demonstrating on courts all across Raleigh that white boys CAN jump.

|
Oscar
Squirrels do not have anything on this man. Oscar can climb trees with the best of them. He is extremely talented as a climber and has ranked in climbing competitions in the Southwest. He always has a smile on his face and a joke ready for any occasion – he is a real joy to work with. When he is not at work, Oscar loves spending time with his wife and children. He has even begun teaching his children how to climb. With Oscar as their teacher, they are sure to be climbing superstars!

Mitch
Mitch works hard, pays attention to detail, and has a wide range of experience in the tree service industry. He can handle everything from felling trees to loading logs, and from grinding stumps to managing ropes. Not only that, but he is an accomplished mechanic. As a matter of fact, Mitch builds and races drag cars during his spare time. He is currently building a car that will reach speeds over 115 mph on a 1/8th mile track! He also enjoys coaching his son’s accomplished travel baseball team, where he led them to a state championship this past season.

|
Eric
Eric joined the industry recently, but has already made big strides. He is competent, eager to learn, and somebody you can rely on to get the job done. As one of the more outgoing members of Leaf & Limb, everybody enjoys working with Eric. When he is not busy being an expert lumberjack, he enjoys skateboarding, going to concerts, and cooking. As a matter of fact, Eric used to be a manager at restaurant here in Raleigh. Though he no longer cooks professionally, he is still master of the grill!

|
Hunter
“Straw King”, “Chatty Cathy” “Honder” – take your pick of nicknames for Hunter. Super gregarious and quick with a laugh, Hunter always livens the day for the crew and regularly impresses clients. Hunter is veteran in the industry with a wide range of experience – he is an expert stump grinder, an experienced ground worker, and now a climber in training. Off the job, Hunter is a highly accomplished golfer who narrowly missed making the cut for Junior PGA Series. Favorite food? Tacos.

Luis
Ever wish you knew somebody that speaks an Oto-Manguean language? Well, Luis is your man! He speaks Otomi, one of the indigenous languages of Mexico, as well as Spanish and English. On the job, he is a legitimate beast of power - nobody works as hard as Luis. Since joining Leaf & Limb, he has become an accomplished ground worker able to handle all the tools of the trade with skill. For fun he enjoys eating pizza and pursuing an unusual hobby – drinking exotic teas.

Colin
Where to begin? Colin originally founded this company in 1997, starting with nothing but an old truck. Many years later, Colin is now among the top in the industry when it comes to knowledge of all things tree-related. He is a regular arboriculture encyclopedia - clients are always amazed by his expertise. He is CTSP accredited, an ISA Certified Arborist, and studying to become an ISA Certified Municipal Specialist. He was born and raised in South Africa, speaks many languages including Dutch and Afrikaans, has mastered soccer, used to compete nationally in judo, and loves samosas.

|
Basil
Basil is in charge of all things business development related. He went to Duke, where he graduated magna cum laude with a double major in economics and history. After working as an economic analyst, Basil decided to pursue his entrepreneurial dream, before life got in the way. After co-founding and building a successful business specializing in luxury travel in Africa, Basil decided to get back to his roots (no pun intended) and try his hand in the tree industry. He is now co-owner of Leaf & Limb. If he is not working, you may find Basil trying to re-ignite former skills on the soccer field, mountain biking, or reading whatever good book he can get his hands on.
