Meet Leaf & Limb!
A company is only as good as its people. Lucky for us, we have an outstanding group of individuals who are professional, courteous, competent, hard-working, interesting, and unique! Here are the members of Leaf & Limb, in no particular order:
Stuart is a veteran arborist and master of his trade. After finishing school, he decided to pursue a career in the arboriculture industry. He began as an extremely hard worker with excellent decision-making abilities before being promoted to crew leader. He is now an ISA Certified Arborist working as a client representative in our sales department. Though he excels in many areas, his strength is plant health care. Stuart is an accomplished soccer player, climbs rock and boulders like a pro, and loves underground music.
It is highly unlikely that you can find somebody who is a better manager than Andrea. Her mind is a steel trap of information – she knows all and forgets nothing. She is super organized, very efficient, and great with clients. She manages the office and much of crew operations like the talented pro that she is. Rest assured, you will enjoy interacting with Andrea when you work with Leaf & Limb – everybody always does. As a native Minnesotan, she is a self-described hockey addict. She also loves pizza, 80’s rock, and Stephen King.
Affectionately known as “Young Grease”, Chris is a crowd favorite. With his quick wit and positive attitude, it’s impossible not to enjoy his company. He is left handed, proud of his Italian heritage, loves football, and is a talented public speaker. After proving his mettle on a crew, Chris now works in the office as a customer service specialist. He embodies all of Leaf & Limb’s values, especially the bit about “show that you care.”
Insects be warned – the Tree Whisperer is here! Larry Eacret is an ISA Certified Arborist with a degree in Forest Technology. More importantly, he is a premier expert when it comes to insects, diseases, fungi, and other tree afflictions. As manager of our plant health care division he has worked diligently to build our tree care operations by increasing service offerings, training new technicians, and tutoring sales representatives. When he is not busy neutralizing the baddest of bugs, you can find him surf fishing, reading, sipping on a good whisky, or smoking a cigar.
Matt is proud of several things: his pile of cedar logs, his lustrous beard, and his ability to eat his weight in sushi and tacos. He is an ECU graduate with a passion for music. He has been a musician for many years, specializing in bass and classical guitar. He also tinkers with the ukulele, piano, and drums. Favorite music genre? Jazz, classical, and metal. Sometimes he just plays all three at the same time. He is a former rock climbing phenom, phone tower climbing pro (he was once stuck 300 feet up in a tower in the middle of a thunder storm), and now tree climbing professional in training.
Chris is an industry veteran with nearly 20 years of experience, which makes him an excellent crew leader. He has an A.A.S. Degree in Forest Technology and is an ISA Certified Arborist. His training ranges from academic topics such as dendrology, entomology, botany, and forest biology to applied skills such as climbing, installing lightning protection systems, and pruning. He is a master of complex structural pruning and properly hand pruning a wide array of shrub and ornamental tree species. Away from work you may find him tinkering with his 1970 Mach I Mustang that he has owned since the age of 18.
Manager of Alligators, Supervisor of the Weasel Chasing Team for the US Forest Service, Fish Counter, Ordained by the Universal Life Church, and ISA Certified Arborist. These are just a few of the titles that Eric currently holds. When he is not busy being interesting, he enthusiastically engages clients as one of our sales representatives. You are sure to like Eric when you meet him. Just don’t play Nickleback. He will not approve.
Outgoing, fun-loving, and always positive; everybody loves Nate. When it comes to tree work, Nate has earned beast status. He is a NCSU graduate, a talented climber, and a budding wood working expert. He crafts beautiful pieces of furniture when he is not swinging through the trees. His favorite food? Mama’s pot roast of course! Nate is also an experienced traveler – he once spent days hiking alone through the Amazon and recently paddled along the Neuse River from Raleigh to the coast.
Joe is an ISA Certified Arborist, has his Tree Risk Assessment Qualification, and is one of our top client representatives. He earned a bachelor’s degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and a masters degree from UGA. Joe originally joined Leaf & Limb because of his interest in tree care. After mastering tree care, he then moved into sales in an effort to continue his development within the industry. When he is not poring over the most recent arboriculture research papers, you will find Joe among the die-hard sports fans rooting for all things that bleed Carolina Blue.
There is little doubt that Juan is one of the best tree climbers in the industry. Juan will tackle any project head on, and do so in an efficient and safe manner. Watch Juan in action when he is working on your property, and you will be amazed – we regularly hear “oohs” and “ahhs” from clients when Juan is in action. He has countless years of experience and is a long-time Leaf & Limb veteran. Little known fact about Juan: he is also an accomplished mechanic and expert tinkerer.
Greyson is the master of giggles. No sales meeting goes by without Greyson eliciting chuckles, or outright laughter. He is an ISA Certified Arborist, Certified Treecare Safety Professional, veteran tree climber, and member of Leaf & Limb’s League of Extraordinary Sales Representatives. During his off time he loves hanging out with his wife and two kids, watching the Carolina Panthers, and generally relaxing in his Raleigh hometown. Little known fact: Greyson owns a collection of over 50 (and counting) vintage cameras.
Andrew wins the award for most cheerful member of Leaf & Limb. Before joining Leaf & Limb, Andrew earned a Bachelors Degree in Forestry and worked for a major tree care company in Baltimore, MD. During his time in the arboriculture industry he has attained an array of experience and has become a expert climber. He is currently one of our talented crew leaders. Outside of work he is a skier, a life-long Giants fan, connoisseur of all things pierogi, and pipe band extraordinaire.
Lindsey graduated with a degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising. Before working at Leaf & Limb, she worked in the bridal industry. She left because she could only handle so much crazy. But then it was out of the frying pan into the fire. Oops. Outside of work, Lindsey has a passion for music. While in college marching band, she met Andrew (yep, same Andrew of Leaf & Limb fame). Now, she and Andrew both play in Wake & District Public Safety Pipes and Drums (Raleigh’s pipe band). Better yet, they have a beautiful baby girl, Corrine. Fun fact about Lindsey: she inserts movie, tv, and song quotes as much as she can in any given conversation.
Justin was born and raised in Georgia. Before moving to Raleigh to join Leaf & Limb, he was a veteran climber with a particular passion for safety. He is highly trained in aerial rescue. Justin loves spending time with his two girls, fishing, hunting, or honing his climbing skills in a nearby tree. He is not afraid to admit that he loves a good bubble bath. Don’t we all?
Squirrels ain’t got nuthin’ on this man! Oscar can climb trees with the best of them. He is extremely talented as a climber – one of the best in the industry – and has ranked in climbing competitions in the Southwest. He always has a smile on his face and a joke ready for any occasion – he is a real joy to work with. He is currently one of our crew leaders specializing in pruning. When he is not at work, Oscar loves spending time with his wife and children. He has even begun teaching his children how to climb. With Oscar as their teacher, they are sure to be climbing superstars!
Joe describes himself as a former Marine Corporal, Eagle Scout, father of two beautiful children, and husband to an amazing wife. Joe also likes being outdoors, which is one of the reasons he was attracted to the tree care industry. He loves absorbing new knowledge and learning information. This thirst for knowledge has helped him excel at his role as a tree care technician where he has had to learn a tremendous amount of information about how to identify and treat trees and shrubs for a whole host of biotic and abiotic issues.
Eager to learn the skills necessary to become a tree care professional, Matt joined Leaf & Limb as a crew member. He has dived eagerly into his training. Matt is an ECU graduate who spent time in the military and in the landscaping industry before joining our company. He has a pit bull named Jade and his all-time favorite band is the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Justin joined our company in the hopes of building a career in this industry. Before joining Leaf & Limb he worked in the solar panel industry, helping install panels in solar panel fields, homes, and businesses. Outside of work Justin loves skateboarding, making sick beats, and growing his hair to gigantic proportions.

He has plowed through training aggressively, and is well on his way to becoming a top climber. Determined, focused, passionate about what he does – Steven has a long career ahead of him as an arborist. He loves fresh water fishing, a cool summer breeze, and warming his hands next to a crackling winter fire.
James, Brother of Steven. Nary a rain cloud in the western sky could dampen this man’s cheerful outlook on life. This is Mr. Can-do, Mr. Conversational, a multi-faceted individual. He also plays the guitar and saxophone. One of his favorite quotes is, “All music is folk music, because it’s played by folks” by Jerome Garcia.
The lore of Jimmy spans the 13 Original Colonies. Many have met Jimmy, few have forgotten him. He originally joined Leaf & Limb having come from a less-than-reputable tree service in Boston, MA. He was amazed to learn that one should never rig off of a bucket truck, and that hard hats can save your life. Who knew? Jimmy learns fast and works hard. He is has a positive, can-do attitude and loves to make others laugh. Best of all, his Bahston accent is wicked thick.
Zach’s love for trees began early in life. He grew up on an orchard in Wenatchee, WA, where he helped tend to the trees. Later he moved to Asheville, NC where he began his career as a climber. He is a voracious learner and has advanced his skills and knowledge rapidly. Now he climbs anything and everything, whether it’s trees, rocks, or boulders. Outside of work he loves fishing, classic country music, big trucks, and a good homemade apple pie. Mmmm, sounds delicious.
Cody is known here as Koala-T. He hails from the southern regions of the Golden State. At a young age he tied his thick locks behind his head and moved slowly – though determinedly – to the Tar Heel State. He is now a dogged climber in training and an asset to whatever crew he chooses to join. When he is not munching on Eucalyptus leaves, he is probably playing basketball, watching football, or hanging out with friends. And yes, he sometimes shows Ced a thing or two about basketball.
Cedric is gifted with athleticism and smarts to match – pretty much the perfect recipe for becoming a great climber. But becoming a great climber also requires hard work and dedication, something Cedric proved he possesses. He is now a crew leader who specializes in impressing clients. He also helps run our training program, working hard to share his knowledge with other aspiring climbers. Cedric is a self-taught musician who creates his own tracks. He is also a self-taught basketball extraordinaire, demonstrating on courts all across Raleigh that white boys CAN jump.
